Homelab Beta

Run your own desktop or tower system without turning your house into a server room. Buy gear on eBay and ship it straight to Helixrack. During beta there are zero bandwidth, throughput, and transfer caps.

This is in the spirit of how Helixrack started: practical infrastructure for small, scrappy builders, not mega corporations with procurement cycles and oversized budgets.

Why it exists

Keep your hardware out of the house. Keep your VPS spend down.

If the machine is already yours, a monthly VPS is often just another bill. The beta gives homelab builders a place to run real gear with more control and without residential ISP limits.

Own the box

Use the hardware you already trust.

Desktop towers, small lab systems, and secondhand machines can live somewhere better than a desk, closet, or garage shelf.

Skip VPS rent

Pay for your hardware, not someone else's rack.

For steady personal workloads, running your own equipment can be a cleaner and cheaper path than renting compute by the month.

Beta rules

Invite only, by design.

The beta exists for the small and scrappy side of self-hosting, not for giant deployments that already have scale elsewhere.

Access

Existing beta members can jump straight into their infrastructure.

Use the login button if you already have an invite. New requests stay on the list until beta slots open.

Important

Invite only. The beta carries forward the same practical, hands-on approach that Helixrack was built on, with room for personal systems and self-hosted services instead of enterprise theater.
