Policy
Acceptable use
Rules for lawful traffic, safe hardware, responsible network use, and action when one system puts people, networks, or equipment at risk.
Use the service lawfully
Do not use Helixrack services to violate applicable law, another party's rights, or a binding legal order. You are responsible for the software, content, accounts, and traffic produced by your hardware and users.
Do not harm networks or other systems
Prohibited activity includes unauthorized access attempts, credential theft, deliberate service disruption, denial-of-service activity, malicious scanning, command-and-control infrastructure, distribution of malware, and traffic intended to conceal or facilitate abuse.
Security testing is permitted only when you own or have explicit authorization to test the target and the activity does not affect other customers, the facility, upstream providers, or the public internet.
Do not send abusive messaging
Do not use the service for unsolicited bulk email, deceptive messaging, address harvesting, phishing, or repeated contact that violates recipient consent or provider policy. Maintain accurate contact information so abuse reports can reach someone able to act.
Respect content and personal rights
Do not use the service to distribute material you are not legally authorized to use, unlawfully disclose personal information, impersonate another person or organization, or facilitate fraud, harassment, exploitation, or credible threats. A disputed allegation does not by itself establish a violation; reports should identify the affected material, right, and supporting record.
Keep hardware safe and accurately described
Hardware must match the approved intake record and remain within its approved power, cooling, weight, airflow, and cabling envelope. Do not bypass facility metering, alter facility wiring, access another customer's equipment, or connect unapproved radios, batteries, power equipment, or network devices.
Use address space responsibly
IP assignments remain subject to technical availability, justification, routing requirements, and upstream policy. Do not announce, route, spoof, or use address space you are not authorized to control.
Report abuse and compromised systems
Send reports to [email protected] with the subject Abuse report. Include the relevant IP address, timestamp with time zone, protocol, source and destination, complete headers or limited supporting logs, and a concise description. Do not include unrelated personal data, credentials, or executable malware.
Helixrack records the report, checks whether it maps to a current service, preserves relevant facility-side evidence when appropriate, and contacts the authorized customer unless immediate action or law prevents it. We may ask for clarification when the report lacks a timestamp, affected address, or observable event.
How Helixrack responds
Helixrack may investigate, request corrective action, filter traffic, isolate a network port, pause power, refuse a shipment, or suspend service when necessary to protect people, equipment, customers, upstream providers, or the facility. When circumstances permit, we will attempt to contact the customer and limit action to the affected system or service.
Immediate action may be required when an unsafe condition, active attack, legal requirement, or ongoing material harm leaves no reasonable time for advance notice.
Customer response and review
A customer must preserve relevant records, investigate promptly, stop confirmed prohibited activity, and explain the corrective action when requested. A customer may ask Helixrack to review an action by replying with the service identifier, disputed facts, and supporting logs. A review does not require Helixrack to restore traffic or power while the material risk remains.
Relationship to other terms
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. A signed agreement or written service term may add requirements for a particular customer or deployment. If terms conflict, the signed agreement controls.
