Four steps

From shipping label to service handoff.

You send the exact specifications, we confirm fit and terms, and only then does the hardware move through receiving, inspection, installation, and customer handoff. We target the initial reply within 24 hours.

Process

A documented handoff at every step.

You send specifications first. We confirm the configuration, receive the approved machine, inspect it, install it, and verify the facility-side handoff with the authorized customer contact.

Quote and order

Submit the server model, dimensions, expected and peak draw, power-supply arrangement, airflow, network needs, authorized contact, and intended shipping path. We target a reply within 24 hours with questions or a configuration-specific quote.

02

Ship

After approval, you receive the confirmed receiving path, weekday dock window, labeling requirements, and shipment reference. During receiving hours, we target a condition photo and delivery acknowledgement within two hours of carrier handoff. Acknowledgement confirms custody, not installation.

03

Rack and test

We target rack-and-test completion within 48 hours of an accepted delivery. Standard testing includes a four-hour burn-in covering CPU, memory, storage, power-supply behavior, and supported management access; unusual hardware may require a different written scope.

04

You take over

We confirm the assigned network handoff, service start, billing date, and remote-hands terms. On systems with supported out-of-band management, the handoff includes validated reachability and credential delivery through the agreed channel. The 30-day introductory period begins at go-live.

Quote scope

Inspection before billing

Receiving checks compare the shipment with the approved intake record and document visible damage, obvious loose components, power-supply compatibility, and the agreed initial test scope.

Included

First 30 days free

New standard colocation orders receive 30 days of rack space, power, outbound transfer, and supported management handoff for $0 after go-live. Billing begins on day 31 if the machine remains live; return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.

Authorized work

Human remote hands

Routine remote hands is available daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Eastern at $35 per started 15-minute block. Outside-hours work, parts, shipping, and larger planned tasks are confirmed separately before work begins.

Operating boundary

Small enough to know who touches the machine.

Helixrack provides the physical environment and facility-side network handoff around your hardware. You keep control of the operating system, applications, credentials, backups, and workload.

Your hardware

You retain ownership and control of the server, OS, applications, credentials, backups, and workload.

Our work

We receive, inspect, rack, power, cool, connect, meter, and perform the physical work defined in the Remote Hands Policy.

Direct contact

Questions go to the operating team that reviews fit and performs the authorized physical work.

Checklist

Checks defined for the approved system.

The standard four-hour burn-in covers the checks below when the hardware supports them. The quote records any configuration-specific change:

  • Visible chassis condition, rail fit, missing fasteners, bent ears, and loose bezels.
  • Authorized POST, component inventory, fan, storage, memory, and power-supply observations.
  • Agreed power checks, input compatibility, supply behavior, and facility assignment.
  • Approved management reachability, network handoff, and initial test records.

Send specs before you ship.

We will catch obvious fit, power, and receiving problems before a carrier touches the box.
