State both expected and peak draw.
Include input voltage and frequency, connector type, PSU count, whether both supplies must be connected, and any startup or transient behavior the operator should expect.
Documentation · Intake
Gather the exact machine details first. A complete intake lets the operating team confirm fit, price, capacity, and receiving instructions without guessing.
1 · Identify
Use the manufacturer label and the actual installed configuration. A product-family page is not enough when rails, GPUs, drives, or power supplies change the fit.
Include input voltage and frequency, connector type, PSU count, whether both supplies must be connected, and any startup or transient behavior the operator should expect.
State port count and speed, IPv6 and IPv4 needs, management-interface separation, expected outbound transfer, and whether the standard static handoff is sufficient.
Provide the person who may approve placement and physical work, the desired service date, and any remote-hands or removal requirement that affects the quote.
5 · Package
Use a rigid container rated for the packed weight. Immobilize rails and loose parts, protect rack ears and drive bays, and keep a copy of the inventory outside any sealed accessory box.
The plain-text version can be completed offline and pasted into the intake form or an email. Do not include passwords, private keys, payment-card details, or workload data.
